About
Originally from Raleigh, North Carolina, Jennifer has called many parts of the state home and is currently based in Winston-Salem. She earned her Juris Doctor from Wake Forest University School of Law in 2010. Her academic background also includes Master of Arts in public history coursework in History from UNC-Charlotte. She graduated Summa Cum Laude in 2005 from North Carolina Central University with a Bachelor of Arts in History.
Jennifer has more than 15 years of experience in family and juvenile welfare law, including a year as a Guardian ad Litem Attorney Advocate in Guilford County. She is trained in all forms of Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR), including Collaborative Law through the NCCCLA, and is a certified Family Financial Mediator with the North Carolina Dispute Resolution Commission. Her strong negotiation skills allow her to guide clients through less adversarial solutions whenever possible. However, she is also a seasoned litigator, fully prepared to advocate in court when necessary.
Outside of work, Jennifer enjoys exercising, cooking, gardening, and reading. A lifelong lover of both the beach and the mountains, she recently picked up tennis again for the first time since high school, and is completely hooked. Known for her compassion and patience, Jennifer is passionate about helping clients navigate the most difficult transitions in their lives. She believes that family comes in many forms—biological, marital, or chosen—and values the importance of healthy support systems for her clients as they build their “new normal.”
